style sheet (styles.css)
The stylesheet specifies my usual background. H1 is aligned centre with colour teal and 18 point Courier bold. Header 2 is red, but that is overridden by the stle block which says blue. Other values:- border-style:outset, border-color:blue, border-width:5px. Header 3 is underlined. Paragraphs are 10pt Arial with 1 inch indentation. Bold is blue and underlined. Anchors are green and not underlined. Unordered lists use bullet1.gif.
In-Line style
The above H2 header has an inline colour of green, in spite of the fact that the style sheet says red and the style block, blue.This paragraph is in 8 point Courier. Sixteen different colours can be specified by name. The following table shows (if your browser supports CSS) how well (or not!) they combine with each other or the background.
