Energy

Nearly all our energy comes directly or indirectly from the sun. The good news is that the sun's energy is not likely to run out any time soon (indeed, the sun will eventually get so hot that it will blow us away). The bad news is that our demand for energy is increasing, some forms of energy (e.g. fossil fuels) will run out in the not too distant future, and there can be disadvantages to the extraction of energy (e.g. pollution). If we are not careful, our drive to extract energy and other resources could destroy the unique, wonderful environment we live in.
