Environment
There are many different kinds of environment. Many environments that we consider natural have in fact been heavily influenced by man. Urban environments can have a surprising amount of wildlife in them. The kinds of environments considered desirable tend to vary over time and from place to place. The one thing that they have in common is that we have the power to alter them. This may be directly, e.g. by ploughing or concreting over a meadow, or indirectly, e.g. by creating pollution which causes acid rain which destroys a forest elsewhere. With power comes responsibility.
